Tunde Folawiyo reportedly bought KSA's guitar for N52.1 million

Tunde Folawiyo reportedly bought KSA's guitar

It's no longer news that legendary Nigerian juju music maestro King Sunny Ade (KSA) recently celebrated his golden jubilee in the music industry. What is news, however, is the attention one of his guitars got.

According to reports, one of KSA's guitars was auctioned at a whooping sum of N52.1million (who said anything about the recession?), at the #KingSunnyAde70 party held in honor of his 70th birthday and celebration of his 50 years on stage.

The bidding for the guitar which reportedly started at N9million was eventually won by Nigerian business mogul, Tunde Folawiyo, who reportedly bought it at N52.1million.

Tunde who is the son of a late businessman and Islamic leader, Wahab Folawiyo, is the managing director of the Yinka Folawiyo Group, an organization with interests in energy, agriculture, shipping, real estate and engineering. The company’s oil exploration firm, Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum, owns a 60% interest in an oil block that contains the Age offshore field.
