Pictures have emerged online of the very dreadful fate which many Nigerians fleeing for greener pastures in Europe have met in the desert.

A post by Nigerian Facebook User Mcthomas Precious, showed corpses of allegedly those of Nigerians seeking to migrate to Europe through the desert.

Precious shared the photos with the caption: "For those who don’t know the dangers of this route, please tell everyone it is 99.9% unsafe."

He went on to write: "The more dangers you see, the worse dangers ahead.
What beats my imagination most is when some persons succeed, they see’s it as a normal thing and start giving a wrong advice but if the real person tries to give details about the dangers in the route, they start saying the GOD that see’s you through will also help them through.
Africans are dying always in Libya and the desert and sea is taking thousands of lives even the Libya prisons are occupied with Africans

Ex-militants might get jobs as Amnesty office starts verification

The verification of ex-militants has commenced in order to help the Presidential Amnesty Programme Office ascertain the correct number of those expected in the program as part of its exit plans.
Brig-Gen. Paul Boroh (rtd), who is the coordinator, revealed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday, January 7.
Boroh, who is also the special adviser to President Buhari on Niger Delta, assured Nigerians of the President's commitment to the training and empowerment of all beneficiaries captured under the program.
He also revealed that the more than 3,010 delegates, who recently exited the program had been empowered by the government.
Boroh explained the process saying: “Exiting from the program is as a result of empowerment and delegates are given starter packs for their businesses.
“The office trains the ex-militants in various vocational skill centers and educational institutions in Nigeria and abroad.”
He also revealed that the mandate of the office is not to provide jobs but to train and reintegrate the ex-militants.
“Well, some people could argue that getting jobs for them is part of reintegration. We have to look into that to see how we can get these persons properly reintegrated,” he said.
The presidential adviser also revealed that 200 ex-agitators had graduated from an advanced agriculture training at the BioResource Centre in Odi, Bayelsa State.
He spoke about getting them jobs, saying:
“We will explore the opportunity provided by the Federal Government so that our delegates that had been trained can be gainfully employed."
Boroh went on to encourage agriculture, saying that it should be supported at all levels of national life so that the country could become a multicultural economy that depends on less on oil.
According to him, some of the industries include the Aluminium Smelting Company in Akwa Ibom and the Aladja Steel in Delta state.
Boroh concluded: “These would provide employment for tens of thousands of youths in the Niger Delta.”

PASTOR ADEBOY'E RETIRE AS RCCG GENERAL OVERSEER, NAMES SUCCESOR

PASTOR ADEBOY'E RETIREMENT AS GENERAL OVERSEER OF RCCG

Pastor E.A Adeboye has reportedly retired as the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Adeboye retires as RCCG G.O. and Obayemi has been named as successor

The Nation reports that he announced his decision on Saturday morning, January 7.

Pastor J.O. Obayemi has been named as his successor.

Recall that last year, the church said those calling for his retirement because of his age were ignorant of the church’s doctrine.
Adeboye, 74, was appointed the general overseer of the church in 1991, taking over from Papa Akindayomi, who had died the previous year.
He was said to have made this announcement on Saturday, December 7, having led the church since 1991.
While the news of his retirement still looked unbelievable to some Nigerians, others believe the man of God has actually paid his due and has earned the accolades that he has gotten over the years.
Several others expressed optimism in seeing the RCCG maintaining its standard which Pastor Adeboye has reportedly kept religiously for more than two decades.
A few Nigerians preferred to drop their comments on Facebook as they also expressed their disbelief with the report, but those who believed heaped encomium on the man of God.
Owerri-based Samson Anyanwu believes the outgoing RCCG GO is an epitome of humility as he wrote: "What an epitome of humility and godliness. He's just proved to the world that God is the real owner of the church and not Man. I'm not an RCCG Member but I'm really touched by this. Sir Adeboye is indeed a real Man of God... May God continue to bless him and his family!!!!!"
Finance expert, Ekuma Anthony Ifebuche noted that the retirement is something that Pastor Adeboye has worked really hard to earn and that he needs the rest he has decided to take by stepping down.
"God bless the kingdom General. U really need some rest. That how it supposed to be. Wish our politicians will emulate you," he wrote on Facebook.
